In the Fall of 2020, Dr. Bob Rosenthal and Dr. Roger Walsh presented a compelling webinar discussing the place of A Course in Miracles among many of the world’s great spiritual traditions.
The positive feedback we received strongly guided us to offer a sequel. In our upcoming August webinar, Drs. Walsh and Rosenthal will take a further look at the Course and its similarities and differences with other spiritual teachings from the East (Buddhism, Hinduism) and the West (Christianity, Judaism, Islam).
We will be discussing questions such as these in this webinar:
- The Course is written in a distinctly Christian voice; what is A Course In Miracles’ relationship to modern-day Christianity?
- Are certain doctrines and practices common to all spiritual paths, and to what extent does A Course in Miracles include them?
- Are there any spiritual practices or perspectives unique to A Course in Miracles?

Speakers
Dr. Bob Rosenthal is Co-President of the Foundation for Inner Peace which is the scribe-authorized publisher of A Course in Miracles. Having served on the Foundation’s Board of Directors since 1993, he was introduced to the Course in 1975 at the age of 20 by Judith Skutch Whitson and became a close friend and protégé of its co-scribe, Bill Thetford. He is the author of three books related to A Course in Miracles and a popular speaker at ACIM conferences and online events. Dr. Rosenthal is also a semi-retired psychiatrist and psychotherapist with over thirty years’ experience helping individuals and couples.
Roger Walsh, M.D., Ph.D. DHL is a professor of psychiatry, philosophy, and anthropology, as well as a professor in the religious studies program at the University of California, Irvine. He is the author of Essential Spirituality: The Seven Central Practices and together with his late wife, the psychologist Frances Vaughan, published three books of exquisite quotations from the Course: Accept This Gift, A Gift of Healing, and A Gift of Peace.
