Leaving a legacy gift is a meaningful way to support the Foundation for Inner Peace and ensure that its message continues to reach future generations. Below are some planned giving options.
There are several ways to give:
• Wills & Living Trusts
You can include the Foundation for Inner Peace in your estate plans by designating a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other bequests are made.
• Retirement Accounts
Gifts made directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) can count toward your required minimum distributions, are not subject to income tax, and may lower your overall tax liability—creating meaningful benefits for both you and your family. You can name the Foundation as a beneficiary of your IRA or 401(k) accounts (similar to life insurance described below) to create a legacy or endowment that helps sustain our work.
• Life Insurance
By naming the Foundation as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, you can create a legacy that helps sustain our work well into the future.
• Income-Splitting Arrangements
Charitable gift annuities or other income-splitting arrangements can provide you with income while also supporting the Foundation.
We encourage you to discuss these opportunities with your estate planning attorney and/or financial advisor. We would be glad to speak with you and your advisors about how the Foundation can be included.
Suggested Language for Your Will or Living Trust
If you wish to include the Foundation for Inner Peace in your estate plans, the following language may be helpful for you and your attorney:
“I give, devise and bequeath to the Foundation for Inner Peace, with offices located at, 448 Ignacio Blvd, Suite 306, Novato, California, the sum of $______, to be used for its general purposes as determined by the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Inner Peace.”
If you do choose to name the Foundation as a beneficiary, we would be grateful if you could share a copy of the relevant portion of your will or trust, along with the contact information for your attorney and/or financial planner, sent to the address above.
