“Let’s Discuss” A Course in Miracles & Addiction
Seminario web disponible en español: “Conversemos” sobre Un curso de milagros: adicción
“You may believe that you are responsible for what you do, but not for what you think. The truth is that you are responsible for what you think, because it is only at this level that you can exercise choice” (T-2.VI.2:5-6).
There is not one among us who is not addicted to something. Whether it’s substances, relationships, control, approval, our thoughts, or even perceptions of God, the mind is wired to seek patterns—some helpful, others destructive. Neuroscience tells us that the brain creates habitual loops, reinforcing behaviors that provide temporary relief but often deepen our suffering. A Course in Miracles (ACIM) points to a deeper mind trap: the egoic belief that something outside of us can fill an inner void.
Join us for a discussion as we explore:
- How the ego fuels addictive patterns and the role of forgiveness in liberating us.
- The parallel between the 12 Steps and ACIM’s principles of forgiveness.
- Practical ways to shift from fear-based coping to love-based living.
Whether you are personally navigating recovery, supporting a loved one, or seeking a deeper understanding of spiritual healing, join a conversation about how ACIM reframes addiction—not as a struggle to overcome, but as an invitation to remember our true identity in God.
NOTE: The Foundation for Inner Peace does not endorse any individual interpretation of A Course in Miracles. We aim to provide a space for open discussion and exploration of its teachings.
