Dr. Bob brought me back to ACIM. He changed my life. I think of him so often and am grateful for the time I was able to learn from him.

When two people have differences of perspective and still remain helpful and cordial — that’s a sure sign of maturity and the ability to put content over form. Dr. Bob and I had our differences. We also shared together as publishers of masterpieces from Jesus. Thank you, Dr. Bob, for your unfailing courtesy and friendship. Now we simply connect heart-to-heart now — and that’s so joyful.

Thank you so much, Dr. Bob, for your constantly needed reminders of the Truth within us, and for all the work you put into sharing your insights and understandings with us, both through the webinars and videos, and through your always inspiring writing, which continues to serve all of us and Spirit to this day. Your voice will be missed, but thank God, as you reminded us, there is no deathβ because a world without you is a sad world indeed.
Dr. Bob was my therapist in New Jersey in the one year before he and his family moved to California. My work with him came at a very dark time in my life, as I was consumed by cancer and other issues. I have never met his like. He helped awaken my inner resources including the creativity that had previously been a hallmark of my life. He helped me recall some old memories that were distorted at best and flesh them out with deeper truths that Iβd buried.
Also impressive to me was that though our sessions included serious discussions of spirituality, he always respected the path that I had chosen, even using it as part of my work with him, and never once suggested an inquiry into ACIM.
When he moved, I considered him to be a deep partner in my healing, and he will remain one of most important teachers in my life.

I CAME TO THIS COURSE BECAUSE SOME ONE ON THE OTHER SIDE. the heavenly place where Bob is now, and through the hint I found A course in Miracles. I didn’t Bob personally But I am sure I am probably the first African, A Kenyan citizen to complete the course. I am grateful for your words Bob on all those audios and webinars I have listened to.
Dr. Bob was truly kind. That is the word that keeps coming to mind when I think of him. We had a few conversations over the years and it was so clear that he genuinely sought to live the principles of the Course. To me and to so many others, he served as an example of who we can be when we apply them. He will be deeply missed.
You have been an instant friend and family member from the moment we’ve met you. I am saddened to see you go. Even though Holy Spirit’s message is loud and clear: not to be sad but to remember to celebrate your beautiful Spirit and graduation. I can imagine this is still hard for Emmanuelle and the kids and the members of the Foundation. Even as I write this, your essence IS the most prevalent identity in my mind, when I think of you. Dr. Bob was a friend and therapist for me. He guided me through extensive readings that correlated well with the Course: Nondualism philosophers, Eastern philosophy, and finally, I recommending he schedule a “Let’s Discuss…” with Dr. Roger Walsh which was well received by students and teachers of the Course
During a time of martial crisis he provided invaluable counsel that strenghened our marriage.

My sincere condolences to Bob’s family. Although I never knew him personally, I hold him in high regard through his involvement with F.I.P. I was divinely guided to ACIM about 15 years ago and it has inspired me immensely, as it does everyday.

Dr. Bob was a great Teacher of the Course. When I first saw him years ago I told him I thought it was one of the best presentations I’d ever heard. I’ve always enjoyed talking with him. We might never know but HE does Dr. Bob. Thankyou. Although I personally never met Bob, in the spirit of celebration and thanksgiving, I want to join our brothers who love you and thankyou for your service in helping the thoughts of Jesus reach minds all over the continuum, thankyou for playing your part in the plan for Atonement and thank our Father for the miracle you ARE.
I first heard Dr. Bob speak at the 2018 conference in San Francisco. His loving spirit and sense of humor were obvious. I made sure to attend one of his sessions the following year in Boston and was privileged to share a few words with him. News of his passing gave me sadness but my memory of his love and work for the Course comforted me. Thanks, Dr. Bob! You’ll be missed but not forgotten or loved.

I will never forget meeting you as I was walking into USC. I had just finished reading From Plagues to Miracles, and as you passed by, I said Robert? You looked so much like your photo! That chance encounter led to your doing workshops at USC in Asbury, NJ.

Grief stings. Yet there is a deep comfort just beneath the grief, telling me of the Truth. Unbeknownst to me at the time, Dr. Bob made his transition on the same day that my ACIM Study Group read, “What is Death?” in the Manual for Teachers. Thanks for that sign, Dr. Bob. I had been missing our chats.
I am so grateful I was able to call Bob a friend. Although we developed a friendship through the internet, we met for the first time in person at his going away party when he was moving from NJ to CA to assume his new role as co-President of the Foundation for Inner Peace. I remember telling him, “I have big plans for a collaboration project for us only I can’t tell you what it is yet!” He laughed and said okay. At this time, I was in the beginning stages of my book deal and couldn’t yet ask him to write the foreword to “From Anxiety to Love” even though I was chomping at the bit to do so. When my publisher finally gave clearance to ask him, I was so grateful he said YES.
Dr. Bob, you were one of the kindest souls that I’ve ever known. May your wisdom, your teachings, your love and your light be felt in all of our hearts and minds. My heart is with Emmanuelle, your children, your family and everyone at the Foundation for Inner Peace. I love you all. Thank you, Bob, for the abundant miracles you gave to us!

The Rosenthals were our first friends in the Waldorf community. We found each other and loved exploring ‘truths’ and fellowship together. I was always blown away by Robert’s amazing intelligence, ability to recall information and facts and his incredibly kind heart. He generously listened and guided us during our most challenging times and understood the complexity of my late husband’s diagnosis. I can’t help but picture him with John now comparing notes and keeping a watch over us all. Emmanuelle, Sophia and Avery, my heart is with you. Despite our beliefs, there is no good way to say goodbye to someone we love so much. I will be in touch. Until then I am tenderly holding you in my heart. Love forever, Jill

When I heard the news from FIP (ACIM) when checking my mail I sat thinking and I guess I let Holy Spirit in, and at first tears flowed willingly as well as then tears of joy and gratitude. I did not meet you Dr Bob but really I did connect with you and the Course message of true forgiveness when you spoke on the webinars these last couple of years recently. So sorry to hear of Bob’s sudden passing. So glad we filmed him on ” Forum On Spirituality”. He was articulate, bright, authentic, forthright, and genuine. His gift will live on in all of us who demonstrate it in our daily life. What better legacy could there be.
