scribe-authorized publisher of A Course in Miracles, passed into the Light on October 19th, 2021.

Of all the many gifts Judy gave, my favorite is the one her daughter Tam, talked about in the Miracles Podcast describing Judy’s final moments.. Judy’s gift of Self Love, where she said she felt completely loved, even by “me too”.
I thank Judy and Tam for sharing what I think is the ultimate goal and the final step in the journey. Self acceptance, unconditional Love.

We never met face-to-face, but you’ve been dear to my heart for the last 3 decades, when I found the ACIM.
And recently I became a grandmother and I know this was your favorite role in life, and mine too!
Anyway, I just listened to Tam’s podcast interview, part 2, as she shared your last few days here on earth.
She mentioned the significance of a song “If I Had a Hammer,” which she interpreted it as your work ethics. You definitely were a hard worker, and like no other!
But I always thought that song was about Jesus Christ, since He was a Carpenter!
But then I realized Tam also talked about the song, “Close to You,” by coincidently, THE CARPENTERS!
So for me, Judy, you’ll always be close to my heart, and Tam made it obvious that you, no doubt, reached The Christ Consciousness, just as Jesus did Himself.
Thank you for Loving Yourself and for your service! And I know you’re still serving humanity!

A stranger is only an aspect of yourself you’ve fail to recognize. Judith, you’re no longer a stranger welcome home.
Just listened to Tamara’s account of Judy’s death process…what a wonderful gift…thank you, Tamara. Loved hearing every detail about Judy’s journey…what a precious soul.
Hi! I only knew Ms. Judy Skutch Whitson 2 weeks before her transition and I never met her in person. That was the time when I just found out that my green card had expired for more than a year and was an illegal resident of the United States. In other words, I overlooked the expiration of my green card. I also filed for citizenship with my (unaware) expired green card so I thought the authorities knew already and would ask me to appear in court. And I just have to wait until then. But until then, the thought of being an “illegal resident”, made me very fearful, like my life was in danger and got trapped in the web of what if’s. But at the same time, I was aware that I was being fearful and I had to switch my mind to the Holy Spirit to help me look at it with Love. So I have been practicing with the Holy Spirit in my mind what to tell the judge when they question me. My husband also suggested to ask our neighbors for recommendations or to be witnesses of my good conduct as a resident. I read ACIM to my husband at night, and listen to the audiobook during the day. Until I realized that the words weren’t sinking in because my fear was so strong. I needed something to listen to that would relate to what I was going through. And the first thing that always comes to my mind was to search for updates about Mr. Gary Renard’s new book or interviews. I consider him as my spiritual teacher through his books. As I searched for his interviews, I bumped into Miracle Voices Podcast as he was one of it’s guest speakers. And that’s how I met my angel.. Ms. Judy, whom I call “my grandma Judy”. Her loving and comforting voice is what I needed to get through my problem. Ever since then, I’ve been excited to listen to Miracle Voices Podcast everyday up until there’s no more new episodes left. I even imagined myself being one of the guest speakers and having a conversation with my grandma Judy. It made me very happy and very hopeful. Until one night, I was reminded of my problem again. And As I was looking at the blank space, I heard my grandma Judy’s loving voice saying “honey, there is no problem”. I felt comforted as I thanked the Holy Spirit for the day and went to sleep.
That night, I had a dream of looking at the pages of the book of ACIM with a strong yet gentle voice of a man reading it for me. And the letters in the book were shining and floating and there was a twinkling sound in the background. And I thought, “wow! This is a really wonderful dream” then I woke up. I looked at the phone on the table and thought of giving it another go of searching on Google how I can solve my problem. A second later, my ego held back “That’s what I did before and I just got disappointed” then I stopped myself and thought, “why am I being fearful? There is nothing to fear. This is just a dream. And the Holy Spirit is guiding me in the dream. I have nothing to lose.” And so I grabbed my phone, asked Google “what to do when a conditional permanent residency has expired” and of course, I skipped the ones that were highlighted and saw a hopeful article that says “don’t worry” I clicked on it. Followed its instructions and realized that the statement that I have been practicing in my mind to tell the judge is what I had to write as a special note on the application for the removal of conditions in my green card. And my husband’s suggestion of asking our neighbors as witnesses of my residency, was also included in the requirements. And I believed in the Holy Spirit in me that is also in them that they will help me. And they wrote me a very nice recommendation letter and sent the documents to the immigration. 1 week later, I received a letter of appointment for biometrics and fingerprints as the start of my naturalization process. 3 days after that, I received a certificate of a 2 year extension on my green card and will serve as my eligibility as a permanent resident. My grandma Judy was right all along. There is no problem. That 2 weeks of spending my time listening to my grandma Judy, felt like she has been a big part of my life in this lifetime. I think of her like my real mother or grandmother. And it amazes me how she uses her very last hour in the dream to be truly helpful. I’m glad she happily laid her body aside. And is now One with God.

I started reading your obituary and I had this feeling of being touched by your light and love. There must be a reason why I am called to read about you. Whatever it is I am so happy to know you.

I had already left a message to Judy just after she passed. But I wanted to share a short strange dream I had last night, one month to the day from her passing. I was walking through my darkened house in the very early morning, we were up early knowing we had to make a very important delivery. My husband was sitting on the couch and I told him we needed to get the faucets fixed so we could make the delivery to Judy. All the faucets in our house were missing, there were just blobs of metal where they should be. I don’t remember talking to Judy( I so wish I had!) but I remember seeing her face. ❤️
I am so grateful to have connected with ACIM via Miracle Voices whilst Judith was still here. Her direct, honest approach helped me to begin to understand a book that has sat on the bookshelf unread for 25 years. Thank you.

I am new to A Course in Miracles. It is a very hard courses to me but it came to my life when I felt hopeless, powerless, fearful and don’t know what to do and really want miracles to happen! Over the years, I learn that this is an inner journey and I really enjoy podcasts and webinars, they really help!
I know this is a long journey and at the same I can make a different choice at any moment. Every moment could be a turning point!

I’m really moved by the email I’ve just received from you from the Foundation.
I felt very much connected to Judy, as I know she was with me and us all.
Each time I came to Tiburon I felt very welcomed, pampered and loved.
There was a period in which we corresponded a lot, and in one of the emails we exchanged we talked about owls. I noticed that she was awake since late at night and when I asked her why she replied “I am a night owl”.
I have an owl that regularly comes for a visit on my balcony, or simply sings for a nice good night. And Judy said that it was her sending good night to me. These were not her real words, but how I recorded them in my mind.
A couple of nights before her departure, the owl appeared again. As I looked at her, she flew away. Of course I didn’t make any connection at the moment, but I did afterword.
The night after her death, I had a dream. I was at an airport saying goodbye to my sister who was leaving. I could see the plane taking off but it returned immediately to the airport without landing completely and took off again to leave. It did it twice, and each time, when coming back in the direction of the airport it looked as a huge white bird flapping its wings softly. I sort of knew that this was the way Judy wanted to say goodbye to her Italian sister.
I do not know if I could come to Tiburon again – I wish I could! – but will be very happy to attend an online gathering. So I look forward to it, whenever it is possible.

As one of the translators I had the honor of meeting Judy in 2012 in Temecula, in the Translators´Meeting which she had arranged. It was also the last time I met Kenneth.
I remember fondly the party that Judy arranged for us in her beautiful home with Whit. As Judy loved flowers and gardening we soon found we had the same interest and she introduced me to her garden´s trees and bushes and spring flowers. They were adorable – as was Judy herself – and we had a long conversation there in the garden. Thank you Judy where ever you are in Spirit. I´m sure it is a happy place and that somehow we will all meet one day.

I can only hope that my attempts to practice the Course be a living example to my thankfulness for this teaching coming into my life, but I can’t ignore this opportunity to give thanks formally to Judy Skutch for doing her part so joyfully. Her constant smile and dedication and kindness say it all! This stuff really works!! Listening to a recent interview there was an interruption from the Foundation announcing the moment of Judy’s transition and honoring her service here. I had to stop as well to receive and offer thanks. With closed eyes I envisioned Judy, Helen, Bill, Ken, Bob, and Whit all joining in a group hug, and somehow symbolizing a love that I felt included in. 35 years ago my life took a powerful turn after reading the Course and I was able to attend Bill Thetford’s memorial in Tiburon and share that moment with many of these dear ones. The feeling of joy at that gathering overlooking the bright blue San Francisco Bay was all-pervasive and still with me, timeless, and of course from the place they are now outside of time and space that all-inclusive love continues to reach out to everyone. At least I can happily say it does for me. Sharing as the moment still lingers, with tears of gratitude and celebration for you Judy, and for all who helped bring Jesus’ message of love and forgiveness to the world!
How lucky we all are, both within The Foundation as well as the world at large, that we had the privilege of having Judy, a truly inspiring woman, such an integral part of our lives. Her infectious, radiant spirit will always be a part of all of us and that brings me much joy amidst my tears in this time of sadness and incredible loss.
I am laughing and crying with the staff and volunteers at The Foundation who are now Judy’s angels here on earth, nurturing and caring for her beloved Foundation and her gift to the world. Her incessant motherly drive to advance The Foundation in any and every way possible, as long as it was done with love and gratitude, as well as remaining faithful to the mission, lasted
until she took her final breath. I know that she is smiling, as you all continue to forge ahead with the mission of The Foundation because she is so grateful for the work that each and every one of you does, tirelessly, day in and day out. In every conversation that I have had with her these last few years (and there have been many) she always shared with me that she feels so incredibly blessed, confident, grateful and relieved that the work of The Foundation will move forward as it is supposed to, because of the people who have come together and are now carrying forth its sacred work. She was always truly amazed when time after time people showed up to participate and advance the work of The Foundation, a so-called miracle that continues to this day. Giving birth to anything is tough, but leaving it behind in the hands of others and knowing that it will continue to blossom is truly an amazing endeavor. You, who are now all her angels in the physical world, have all given her such a precious gift that many never experience. For that I thank you all and I am deeply grateful.
And so we all strive to continue the journey of walking in the spirit of love and gratitude….
I was saddened to learn of Judy Skutch Whitson’s passing. I never met Judy in person, and up until recently, she was the person I knew the least about from the “Original Four” of ACIM.
Other than knowing her name, I was really introduced to Judy through the Miracles Voices podcast, and was immediately drawn in by the warmth and joy that she expressed through her voice. It is a wonderful thing that her wisdom and her “vibe” could be recorded for posterity near the end of her bodily life.
Judy and I share the difficult experience of the untimely loss of a younger sister, and I found the recent podcast on this topic to be very healing personally.
If ever there were a person who lived up to the statement “I am here only to be truly helpful”, it was Judy Skutch Whitson. I would like to give thanks to her for her help to me and so many others in bringing ACIM to the world and sharing her wisdom over all the years since.

Judy, you do not know me but you have been my guiding light for the last 30 years ever since I first read “Journey Without Distance”. I looked forward to your discussions and could always feel your love and compassion whenever you spoke. I will miss you my dear friend; I cried when I learned of your passing and then I realized that you were smiling, so I smile with you.

It was only in the last couple of months that I again encountered ACIM after having been exposed to it some thirty years ago when at the time it made absolutely no sense to me at all. Fast forward to about a year ago when in retirement, I returned to study again The Silva Method, then Science of Mind (Dr. Ernest Holmes) which brought back my memories of ACIM.
I certainly remember the history of ACIM, Helen, Bill and Judith. Digging around I found the podcasts with Judith and Matt McCabe. I listened to every episode and it spoke to me even more. Then I watched the latest Discussion of ACIM and saw as well as heard Judith. I am glad and thankful to have both seen and heard her before her passing. Now ACIM speaks to me and I’m on a first name basis with the Holy Spirit (chuckle). Thank you Judith for your wonderful being.

I volunteered for the Foundation for Inner Peace. I was invited to weekly meetings with the Foundation board where they would talk about world events and also the course. Whenever Judy spoke it was like spirit coming through her. She emanated kindness and love. When I had to take my leave because of personal reasons, I really missed the meetings because I learned so much and also Judy’s presence had an affect on me. Her vibration was one of love, forgiveness, kindness something the world needs more of. What a wonderful lady and meaningful life she will be missed by me.
Dear Judy! you and someone else (perhaps your companion) introduced yourselves to me at a party that a fellow companion at Columbia University had organized, I was about 21 and got invited. It was there that I found out about the existence of the Course, and you and that man told me about the beginnings of your Foundation. I was not very awake then and I simply delighted in the information but never researched the course until 5 years later when a friend of mine told me about his miraculous understandings. It was only after many, many, many years later that I realized that you were the Judy I had met at that party, who with great enthusiasm told me about the Course. Nothing is separate so I believe that from wherever you are now, you´ll keep guiding us lovingly with the Grace of God. Angels around you!. Love and blessings to you and your family from the very south end of the America´s: Argentina!.
After reading a good portion of the outpouring of love on this guest book, all I can say is; not many are as good at their “job” as you were and I thank you for your service and Judy, it is my hope I can follow in your footsteps with the help of the Holy Spirit. I think that’s all that needs to be said. However, I will add – Best wishes on your new assignment in the unfolding of the Universe. I am sure, you are good at it.

I never had the privilege of meeting Judy in person. However, I remember very clearly when I was watching one of her youtube videos where she related stories about her life and the beginnings of the publication of the Course. At the very end she said some words of love as a goodbye and looked directly into the camera. I felt an enormous stream of Love coming from her eyes. Love that connecs us all, above and beyond all restrictions of time and space or of means of communication. I felt elated, transported, in connection with that Self where we all are one and that feeling stayed with me for days. Thank you Judy, for being a channel of the Self, the Holy Spirit!
– I would also like to thank you for the way you let us know about your passing. That inspired me and touched me and also, stragely enough, transported me again to that true Self that you so clearly expressed in your process. And I will remember, as long as I live, your words: I am not my body’s pain. When I am challenged in a similar way, I will remember to tell myself the same thing – I do not have to identify with this pain. I can stay in the healing arms of Love. – Thank you Judy.

Thanks for being so kind to me over the years, Judy. I knew from personal experience that both you and Ken didn’t just share the Course, you lived it. The contribution you’ve made to all of us is beyond words. We are one and love is forever.

Judy was a was an inspiration, wise teacher and mentor to me, and beacon of Light in this world. I met her in 1982, and instantly forged a heart connection. Her consistent example and counsel helped me return back to loving.
Judy’s impact in the world is beyond measure. Her dedication and skill in catalyzing the spread of A Course in Miracles will have ripple effects for decades to come. She introduced me to its wisdom, and enabled me and others to integrate its practices. She worked closely with John E. Fetzer to connect him to leading scientists and practitioners in the field of consciousness. This enabled John E. Fetzer to forge his vision to consciously awaken to the Source through mystical practice. At the same time, she and John understood the crucial role of science as a tool to seek truth and move beyond the dogma of religion. The seeds of this vision are sprouting in the greater world.
My favorite memories of Judy include the times when my wife, Darby, and our three kids would visit. Judy was the consummate host and made them fit right into the fabric. With lots of laughing, hugging and stories, it was like reconnecting with a part of self. She was so present with others that she instantly created an ease.
Judy, thank you for everything you taught me and introduced me to. Thank you for your inspiration to Darby and our kids. Thank you for demonstrating how to completely live A Course, and for letting go of all your stories at the point of transition.
May the part of your consciousness that remains bask in limitless sea of loving.

Love is the Way I Walk in Gratitude, which I am sure thousands upon thousands of students are feeling right now. Judith Cohen Skutch Whitson made it OK for me as a Jew to embrace A Course in Miracles as my life’s path, of course with Helen, but Helen passed the same month I started my Course study, so never really felt her the way I felt Judith. I had the privilege of meeting Judith. Her warmth oozed out of her in her stories. It was her stories that made her human. She admitted to still having human frailties, but her devotion to embody Course teaching set an example for students. She exemplified two practices from Jewish Mysticism that I’m writing about. The practices are Devekkut and Kavannah. Kavannah intention and Devekkut is cleaving to God. It was Judith’s intention to spread peace and love, while being in constant communication with the Holy Spirit with an unrelenting commitment as it says in her memorial. Thank you for creating a space for students to share my thoughts and feelings about how this remarkable women touched my life.
I’ve only known of Judy for about 4 months, yet in that short time, I had fallen in love with her. She embodied the essence of the Course. I love her stories of how she navigated life. She is a beautiful role model of living the Course.
Several days after her transition, I reached out to her “in spirit” and felt she & I had a lovely conversation, leaving a smile on my heart.
I will miss her live interactions, but I know she will live on eternally in my heart.

Your love, devotion, and pure joy radiate through all the Sonship. You are still radiating this love, because I can feel it. I am still inspired by your unconditional love when I was with you in person, and that love is a continuous extension and a blessing to us all. Thank you, Judy, for demonstrating to me what it means to live the Course day in and day out. I was honored to have known you and still remember the first time I met you when Gary and I visited your lovely home. Your presence was infectious and your story-telling riveting. Your life was (and is still) an example of one who walks the talk of love and forgiveness. Thank you for all your work and dedication, a truly amazing contribution to the Course community.
